In other Orange Empire Conference baseball games:

Cypress 5, Orange Coast 4--Ken Granger hit a home run in the bottom of the eighth to win it for Cypress (15-5, 3-1). Matt Roman and Junior Rodriguez each had two hits and a run batted in. Keith Ginter picked up his fourth save of the season and had two hits for Cypress. Orange Coast is 14-2, 1-2.

Riverside 4, Saddleback 2--Thys Bakker (1-1) gave up four hits and struck out nine over 6 2/3 innings and Greg Ferrell had three hits and scored a run for Saddleback (9-4-1, 1-2).

In the Bakersfield softball tournament:

Cypress 7, Moorpark 0 (5 innings)--Jamie Wilkes pitched four innings, striking out four and giving up two hits, for Cypress (12-5). Wilkes also had two hits and three RBIs, and teammate. Lise Delligatta was three for three with a double. In an earlier game, Sacramento City defeated Cypress, 1-0.
