Kudos for Awards Show

I have just finished reading your interview with Christopher Reeve (“A Challenge That Reeve Couldn’t Refuse,” March 28), following his surprise--and emotional--appearance at the Academy Awards.
I think Quincy Jones is to be congratulated for presenting the best Academy Awards program I have ever seen in my entire life.
Not only were there several highly charged emotional events; Christopher Reeve and Kirk Douglas’ appearances, and the appearance on stage of Miep Gies (“Anne FrankRemembered”)--even the costume show and film clips were most entertaining.
I have never in some 50-plus years of following the Academy Awards stayed with the entire program from start to finish. Monday night I did. It was great.
