Lesley Fulton
Rosary, Junior
Softball/Center fielder
Fulton, a first-team all-county selection last season, missed 18 games this season because of tendinitis in the elbow of her throwing arm. She returned in time to help the Royals tie Westminster and Ocean View for the Golden West League title, and Friday she drove in all the runs in a 3-2 victory over West Torrance in the first round of the Division II playoffs. She drove in two runs with a double in the fifth and hit the game-winning home run in the eighth. Playing center field instead of her regular position of shortstop to help her elbow continue to heal, Fulton made a diving catch in the sixth.
