Double-Barreled Attack Leads Las Virgenes East

Jesse Slade had three doubles--among 11 for Las Virgenes East--in a 20-3 American Legion District 20 victory over Woodland Hills West on Wednesday at El Camino Real High.
The game was called after five innings because of the mercy rule.
Slade, who was three for three with four runs batted in, cleared the bases with a first-inning double to highlight an eight-run rally.
Also hitting doubles for Las Virgenes East (3-0) were Brian Fatur, Josh Harris, Justin Erickson, Jared Sandler, Tanner Trosper, Darin Reisman, Chris Cicuto and Zach Fields.
Harris was four for four with two RBIs and Sandler had four hits and three RBIs. Cicuto added three hits and three runs.
In other District 20 games:
Central Valley 10, Burbank North 0--Vince Kolbe (1-0) pitched four scoreless innings and was four for four with four RBIs for Central Valley at Cleveland High. Tom O’Brien had two hits for Central Valley (1-1).
Valley North 15, Las Virgenes West 4--Frank Dipoma had a double, triple and home run to pace a 10-hit attack for Valley North.
North Hollywood East 3, West Hills 2--David Tuizer’s solo home run in the top of the seventh proved decisive at Chaminade High.
