Moherman Passes Cougars to Victory
Quarterback Austin Moherman completed eight of 12 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns as Capistrano Valley opened its season with a 42-21 victory over Nanakuli late Friday night in Hawaii.
The Cougars’ Jermaine McKinney rushed for 105 yards in four carries, and Malaefou MacKenzie rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown in four carries. Todd Puffer caught two passes for 44 yards, including a 37-yard touchdown strike from Moherman.
