In other Northwest Valley Conference games:
Kennedy 65, Cleveland 15--Calvin Zinck and Aaron Lewis of Kennedy (3-2, 2-0) combined to score four touchdowns in a rout at Cleveland.
Zinck completed nine of 14 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions, and also scored on a 22-yard run. Lewis had four catches--all for touchdowns--for 165 yards.
Kennedy tailback Jaret Harris scored on a 25-yard run with 22 seconds left, which drew criticism from Cleveland Coach Joe Santellano. Harris ran 24 times for 214 yards and a touchdown.
“He [Kennedy Coach Bob Francola] left in his tailback in for statistics,” Santellano said. “And if he wants statistics, that’s fine.”
Cleveland quarterback Jared Mills completed 23 of 38 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown with one interception. The Cavaliers fell to 1-4 and 0-2.
