Maranatha Two Much for Fillmore

Michael Barr caught a two-point conversion pass from James Booth with 32 seconds remaining to give Maranatha High a 22-21 victory over Fillmore on Saturday night at San Marino High.
Barr scored on an eight-yard run to give Maranatha (3-2) a chance at the victory. Barr finished with three touchdowns in seven carries and gained 35 yards.
Fillmore (2-3) advanced to the Patriots’ 45-yard line before time expired.
Fillmore took a 21-14 lead when Ryan Lemons connected with Ricky Beall on a 16-yard touchdown pass with four minutes left in the game.
All of the Flashes’ touchdowns followed Maranatha turnovers.
Tim Pillado gained 127 yards in 23 carries for Fillmore.
