Perfect Wyoming Faces San Diego St.
The No. 16 Wyoming Cowboys will get one of their toughest tests of the season tonight when they put their 12-game winning streak, the longest in Division I-A, on the line against San Diego State in a Western Athletic Conference game at Jack Murphy Stadium.
Wyoming (9-0, 6-0 WAC), has played one of the nation’s weaker schedules. The Cowboys’ opponents have a combined record of only 21-57.
Now comes San Diego State (5-2, 3-1), which needs a victory to stay in contention for the WAC Pacific Division title.
Wyoming is ranked second in the nation in total offense (527.7 yards per game), fourth in points scored (43.3) and has the country’s top passing combination in quarterback Josh Wallwork and wide receiver Marcus Harris.
