Weisz wins twice--Third-seeded Michelle Weisz of El Dorado defeated her doubles partner, second-seeded Amanda Oldridge, 6-3, 6-3, to advance to today’s singles final, but the pair also teamed to advance to the doubles final.

Girls’ tennis--Top-seeded Summer Terry and Chelsea McMahon of Laguna Beach defeated second-seeded Ann Terry and Suzy Striker of Laguna Hills, 6-3, 6-2, to win the Pacific Coast League doubles title. The result was incorrectly reported in Friday’s Times Orange County Edition.

In the Freeway League tournament:

Yuan sweeps into semifinals--Sunny Hills’ Iris Yuan, the top-seeded singles player, swept through her quarterfinal match, 6-0, 6-0, as all four top-seeded players advanced.

In the Golden West League tournament:

Top-seeded players advance--Top-seeded Christine Son of Ocean View and second-seeded Joanne Cruz of Rosary advanced to the singles finals with straight-set victories in the semifinals and quarterfinals. Son and Cruz play in the final today.

In the Orange League tournament:

Hasa wins--Jackie Hasa of Brea Olinda defeated Magnolia’s Michelle Arndt 6-0, 4-6, 6-3, to win the league singles title. In doubles, Reychel DeLeon and Fong Chau of Valencia defeated Savanna’s Madelyn Valdes and Nguyet Tran, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.

In the Pacific Coast League tournament:

Bugescu wins--Second-seeded Etel Bugescu of University defeated top-seeded Jessica Provst of Laguna Hills, 6-7, 6-3, 6-1 in the final.

Second-seeded Ann Terry and Suzy Striker of Laguna Hills defeated top-seeded Summer Terry and Chelsea McMahon of Laguna Beach, 6-3, 6-2 to win the doubles title.

In the Sunset League tournament:

Arvizu wins again--Senior Alison Arvizu of Huntington Beach defended her singles title with a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Cerissa Drumm of Edison.

In doubles, Monica Ralli and Lauren Teweles of Los Alamitos won the title with a 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 victory over Darcie McAndress and Jaime Kunze of Edison.
