Fullerton Falls in Basketball Tournament

Fullerton put on an impressive second-half rally only to fall to Eastern Utah, 85-75, in the championship game of the Fullerton men’s basketball tournament Sunday.
Fullerton (2-1) was down, 61-48, but the Hornets used a 16-4 run after a timeout to get as close as 66-65 with about eight minutes left.
Fullerton had two shots at going ahead but both were blocked by Ime Udoka, selected the tournament’s most valuable player.
Three turnovers helped Eastern Utah (5-0) push the lead back to 10 points. Udoka finished with a game-high 23 points. He also had seven rebounds.
Ty Berry had 13 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds for Fullerton (2-1).
In the third-place game:
Saddleback 63, Los Angeles Southwest 57--Brian Perkins had 19 points, including three three-pointers, and also got eight rebounds for Saddleback (2-1). Scott Duffy had 12 points and eight rebounds for the Gauchos.
