* ST. MARY’S (6-2) at CS NORTHRIDGE (1-4)

Time--7. Radio--KWNK (670).

Lucky Grundy, a junior walk-on, is expected to start his third consecutive game at point guard tonight. His first start was because Trenton Cross was recuperating from a rib injury, but since then Grundy has earned a spot by playing well. In Thursday’s loss to Ohio, Grundy had 10 assists and two turnovers and he held Geno Ford, Ohio’s leading scorer, to eight points. “If I had a game ball to give out, I would have given it to him,” Coach Bobby Braswell said. Unfortunately, Grundy doesn’t help Northridge inside, which is where the Matadors will be at the biggest disadvantage against the bigger and more physical Gaels. St. Mary’s, whose six-game winning streak includes tournament championships at Hawaii and Brigham Young, starts 7-foot-3 center Brad Millard (11.4 points per game) and 6-8 forward A.J. Rollins (14.9). David Sivulich leads St. Mary’s in scoring with a 16.2 average, but he will be out for three more weeks because of a broken left hand. Northridge is still looking for its first victory over a Division I team.
