William P. Bonds of Ventura was awarded the certified restorer designation by the National Institute of Disaster Restoration, a division of the Assn. of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration.

The designation is the highest recognition awarded to cleaning and restoration professionals who repair structures and contents that have been damaged by fire, smoke, water, vandalism and other disasters.

* Dean Zatkowsky was appointed marketing manager in the western division of Ventura-based Kinko’s. He will handle all local marketing activities for 320 Kinko’s in California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Texas and Alaska.

Zatkowsky, who has been with Kinko’s 11 years, was marketing director for the northwest before taking this assignment.

* Datametrics Corp. has named James D. Sturgeon Jr. chief operating officer and Kenneth S. Polak chief financial officer.

The Woodland Hills-based company makes high-speed color printers for the defense and commercial markets. The company, which has been struggling financially, has been undergoing an overhaul in its executive suite.

* Mary Lysova, founder of Cabrillo Music Theater and the Channel Islands Ballet, has been appointed executive director of Living Treasures of Ventura. Living Treasures provides role models and mentors for programs to schools, groups or individuals in the arts, communication, community service, education, environment, finance, government, health, human relations, physical fitness and technology.
