Piranha update--The Piranhas will try to keep their slim playoff hopes alive against a Milwaukee team they have never lost to in three games. Lee Williamson will get his first start of the season at quarterback in place of rookie Mark Grieb. The Piranhas have been outscored,, 246-189, in their first three games and have yet to win a road game. Receiver Bryan Reeves came off a two-game suspension to catch nine passes for 107 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown. Ten players will miss tonight’s game because of injuries, although the Piranhas receiver/linebacker Jai Hill returns from an ankle injury and will probably start.
Mustang update--Milwaukee lost its first two games but has won its last three, including last week’s 52-41 victory over ArenaBowl champion Tampa Bay. The Mustangs have the league’s top rushing defense and No. 2 rushing defense. Quarterback Todd Hammel has passed for 1,143 yards and 16 touchdowns. Garry Compton is the Mustangs’ best two-way player. He has 23 receptions for 301 yards and three touchdowns and has returned an interception for a touchdown.
