Marissa Irvin of Harvard-Westlake High and Shervin Saedinia of Calabasas are the lone singles players from the region left in the Southern Section girls’ individual tournament, which resumes today with the round of 16 and the quarterfinals at the Irvine Racquet Club at 11:30 a.m.

Three doubles teams from the region are still alive, Marmonte League champions Margo O’Donnell and Rebecca Hanau of Simi Valley, Brittney Bierman and Andrea Leewong of Calabasas and Kathryn Russell and Ashley Wick of Thacher.

The first round of the City Section girls’ individual playoffs will be held at the Studio City Racquet Centre and Mountaingate Country Club today at 11:45 a.m.
