Saddleback Women Beat Southwestern

Erin Edmiston scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to help Saddleback to a 74-64 victory over Southwestern in nonconference women’s basketball Wednesday at Saddleback College.
Christina Carcich and Hayley Hall contributed 15 points each for the Gauchos, who improve to 3-4. Southwestern is 3-3.
In other nonconference women’s basketball:
Santa Ana 102, Mt. San Jacinto 36--Rochelle Anthony had 31 points, 10 steals and eight rebounds to lead Santa Ana (4-2). Santa Ana scored the first 24 points of the second half, outscoring Mt. San Jacinto (0-7), 62-16.
L.A. Trade Tech 71, Golden West 67--Porscha Buchanan’s three-pointer with 5:48 left in the game, broke a 51-51 tie and started a 12-3 run by Trade Tech (5-3). The Rustlers didn’t get closer than three points the rest of the way.
Becky Fraser led Golden West (2-5) with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Shauna Steward added 17 points.
