UPCOMING PREP EVENTS IN ORANGE COUNTY

Rosary, impressive in its first week of games, entered The Times Orange County top 10 this week. The 10th-ranked Royals, led by point guard Sarah Belavic, will play tonight at Troy. Freshman Veronica Johns, complementing Heidi Hardeman’s shooting, has made the ninth-ranked Warriors tough in the early going.
Brea Olinda tries to successfully defend its Ladycat Classic title this weekend, with semifinal play tonight and the championship game Saturday. Tonight’s semifinal features top-ranked Brea vs. Torrance Bishop Montgomery, the defending Division III state champion. Moreno Valley-Riverside North is the other semifinal.
The championship of tournaments at University and Fairmont high schools is also Saturday. The Estancia tournament concludes Friday.
