Dave Hollaway has resigned as Dana Hills girls’ volleyball coach to become girls’ volleyball coach at Santa Clara University.

In two seasons, Hollaway, 27, guided Dana Hills to a 32-7 record, two South Coast League titles and two Division I quarterfinal appearances.

The Santa Clara offer “came out of the blue,” said Hollaway, whose previous college Division I coaching experience was as an assistant at Long Beach State. “It was too good an offer to pass up.”
