Chatsworth 51, Poly 12--Ryan Martinez completed eight of 15 passes for 135 yards and one touchdown, and scored on a two-yard run and a 27-yard fumble recovery for the Chancellors (2-1) at Chatsworth.
Chatsworth made Poly (0-3) pay for its three turnovers, twice converting fumbles into touchdowns on the following play.
A fumble recovery by Chatsworth’s Kort Huettinger set up a 26-yard scoring pass play from Martinez to Kieron Barkataki in the third quarter.
Poly sophomore David Valencia rushed for 96 yards in 17 carries and scored on a 23-yard run in the third quarter.
Reggie Lee of Chatsworth scored on runs of one and five yards, and kicked five extra points.
Chatsworth’s Kevin Doty, a senior defensive end who blocked a punt in the first quarter to set up a score, left the game in the second quarter with a collar bone injury sustained while blocking.
