Oxnard 33, Channel Islands 23--Desmond Davis rushed for 150 yards and scored twice to lead the Yellowjackets (2-1) at Channel Islands (0-3).
The Yellowjackets took a 27-14 lead on a one-yard touchdown by Davis in the second quarter and never looked back.
Joey Rivas completed five of 10 passes for 44 yards and two touchdowns for Oxnard, while Bronson Lucas completed seven of 24 for 156 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, one of which was returned 56 yards for an Oxnard touchdown by Chris O’Brien.
