Harbor 44, Glendale 32--Quarterback Chris Cervantes completed 13 of 30 passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns in his starting debut, but the Vaqueros (0-3) gave up 518 yards in a Western State Conference interdivision game at Glendale High.
Cervantes, a freshman from Sylmar High, threw three touchdown passes to Ryan Brouche’t and another to Gregg Johnson. Brouche’t finished with five receptions for 181 yards and Johnson had three catches for 68 yards.
The problem was Glendale’s defense, which allowed 249 yards rushing and 269 passing.
