Monroe 7, Poly 4--Sulma Santana and Monica Rodriguez each had two hits and Cori Jordahl and Vanessa Vargas each hit home runs for the Vikings (10-6, 7-1) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Monroe.

Canoga Park 11, North Hollywood 10--Lori Kuebler scored the game-winning run from third base on a passed ball in the seventh inning of a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Canoga Park (5-8, 3-5).

Verdugo Hills 3, Wilson 1--Kim Wood (16-4) pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and no walks and the visiting Dons (17-5, 8-0) put together a Northern Conference rout.

Rhianna Slimak had four of Verdugo Hills’ 17 hits, including a double.

Taft 2, Birmingham 1--Sara Weir and Reshma Bijlani each drove in runs in the second inning, and Andrea Shaeffer (6-7) made them stand up, pitching a four-hitter and striking out 10 for the Toreadors (6-7, 2-6) in a West Valley League game at Birmingham.

Saugus 2, Burroughs 0--Julie Watson drove in two runs with a two-out single in the bottom of the second in a Foothill League game at Saugus.

Stephanie Blaire (9-5) scattered seven hits and struck out three for Saugus (13-8, 3-2).

Rio Mesa 6, Hueneme 2--Laura Moreno’s one-out, two-RBI double in the sixth gave host Rio Mesa a 3-2 lead and keyed a six-run rally by the Spartans in a Channel League game.

Marcella Ramirez and Monique Barretto (6-1) combined on a three-hitter for Rio Mesa (13-4, 8-0).

Moorpark 12, Nordhoff 2--Erin Heinbechner (10-3) pitched a five-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks and J.J. Jaegge had three hits in a Frontier League victory for the visiting Musketeers (12-3, 9-1).

Newbury Park 4, Royal 0--Katie Stokx (9-4) tossed a three-hitter with six strikeouts, Cindy Muran had three hits and a run batted in, and Tawni Yamauchi had two hits and scored two runs for the Panthers (15-4, 6-3) in a Marmonte League victory at Borchard Park.

Camarillo 4, Westlake 1--Cindy Ball pitched a two-hitter with nine strikeouts, and Ali Taverner drove in two runs for the Scorpions (13-2, 8-1) in a Marmonte League game at Camarillo.

Quartz Hill 11, Littlerock 2--Amber Slaton (2-0) scattered seven hits, had three hits and scored three runs for the Rebels (15-2-1, 4-0-1) in a Golden League victory at Quartz Hill.

Sara Moore had three hits and scored two runs, and Christa Galier had a home run, single and three runs batted in for the Rebels.

Highland 5, Palmdale 4--Jennifer Durost drove in one run with three hits, including a triple, and Jennifer Smith had two hits, including a run-scoring double, for Highland (17-3, 4-1) in a Golden League game at Palmdale (12-6, 3-2).

Nicole Rawson (6-1) earned the victory in relief of Kelly Presten.

Calabasas 5, Santa Paula 1--Amy Rosson (8-4) struck out nine, walked none and allowed six hits for the Coyotes (11-5-1, 9-1) at Calabasas.

Hart 9, Canyon 0--Casey Pickard had a two-run single for host Hart (16-2, 5-0) in a Foothill League game at Newhall Park.

Amanda Fortune and Lindsey Kontra combined for a three-hitter for Hart, with Fortune allowing two hits and striking out six in four innings.

St. Bonaventure 7, Oak Park 4--Shannon Fink had two hits, one RBI and scored a run for host St. Bonaventure (7-9, 5-2) in a Tri-Valley League game.

La Reina 3, Fillmore 2--Stephanie Hall’s two-out, two-run seventh-inning home run lifted host La Reina (17-2, 5-0) in a Tri-Valley League game.

Hall also had a run-scoring triple and a double for the Regents, while Danielle Filed and Kristen Ward (9-1) combined on a no-hitter.
