Crescenta Valley Clinches Third Consecutive Title

Michelle Greco had 23 points, 13 rebounds and six assists to help Crescenta Valley (20-2, 8-0) clinch its third consecutive Pacific League title with a 66-37 victory Friday over Glendale at Crescenta Valley.

Tara Gregory had 23 points and nine steals for Crescenta Valley, ranked No. 2 in The Times’ regional poll. The Falcons have won 30 consecutive games at home.

Crescenta Valley outscored Glendale, 24-5, in the fourth quarter and had 26 steals in the game.

Alina Markari scored 12 points for Glendale (14-9, 5-3).

MARMONTE

Royal 57, Westlake 30--Teresa Russell had 14 points, 13 rebounds, seven steals, three blocks and three assists, and the Highlanders won at Royal.

Jessica Sanders added nine points and six assists for Royal (22-2, 11-1), ranked No. 4 in the Times’ regional poll.

Tawny Thorp had nine points for Westlake (7-14, 4-7).

Simi Valley 68, Newbury Park 46--Jaime Sturdivant scored 18 points for Simi Valley (12-10, 6-6) in a victory at Newbury Park.

Angela Jensen scored nine points for Newbury Park (10-11, 6-6).

FRONTIER

Moorpark 72, Santa Paula 34--Damaris Hinojosa scored 29 points, including four three-point baskets, and had 15 steals, seven rebounds and six assists for Moorpark (18-3, 7-0) at Santa Paula.

Moorpark is ranked No. 7 in The Times’ regional poll.

Erica Vint had 14 points for Santa Paula (7-15, 2-6).

FOOTHILL

Valencia 49, Burbank 40--Tiffany Morgan scored 15 of her 17 points while playing with four fouls in the second half to help the Vikings (16-7, 5-3) win at home.

Natalie Avanecy scored 15 points for Burbank (5-15, 1-7).

Hart 54, Burroughs 31--Melissa Harrison had 18 points, eight rebounds and seven steals to help the Indians (19-2, 8-0) claim their sixth consecutive Foothill League title.

Hart, ranked No. 3 in The Times’ regional poll, have won 59 of their last 60 league games and have a 16-game winning streak.

Emily Reyna, Hart’s 5-foot-1 point guard, had eight points and seven rebounds.

Joanna Garrick scored 10 points for Burroughs (15-7, 5-3).

WEST VALLEY

El Camino Real 69, Kennedy 30--Cara Blumfield had 26 points, eight rebounds and four steals, Chrissy McClain had 18 points and Karen Shun had 13 points and 15 rebounds for the Conquistadores (18-0, 8-0) at El Camino Real.

Taft 63, Chatsworth 28--Tynisha Howze had 12 points and 10 rebounds and Oreeille Revish added 11 points and the Toreadors won at Taft (12-6, 6-2).

Ava Mozafari had eight assists and six steals to go with five points, and Denisha McCoy had seven points and eight steals for the Toreadors.

NORTH VALLEY

Birmingham 55, San Fernando 39--Ofalangi Mailangi had 13 points and 14 rebounds and the Braves (12-6, 5-3) coasted to victory at Birmingham.

Anica Arriola scored 20 points for San Fernando (6-14, 2-6).

Granada Hills 69, Cleveland 31--Jessica Cosby scored 23 points for Granada Hills (13-4, 7-1) and the Highlanders made 20 of 30 free throws in a game at Cleveland.

Lindy Gayton scored 15 of her 18 points in the second half and Kelly Patterson made eight of eight from the free-throw line and had 16 points for Granada Hills. Mishawn Simms had 10 points, six steals and six assists for Cleveland (9-9, 2-6).

EAST VALLEY

Sylmar 43, Canoga Park 25--Veronica Ramos had 19 points, eight rebounds and three steals, and the Spartans (9-8, 5-3) won at Sylmar.

Teresa Estrada had nine points, eight rebounds and six assists for Sylmar, while Michelle Jimenez added 11 rebounds and six blocked shots.
