Cal State Fullerton has signed two athletes for the women’s track team, Coach John Elders said. Yahavoh Totimeh, a native of Liberia who competed last season at Sacramento Valley High, was a state meet qualifier in the 100 and 200 meters. Her personal bests are 12.28 seconds in the 100 and 25.14 in the 200. Pole vaulter Patricia Gutierrez of Esperanza High also will join the Titans. She has a personal best of 11 feet 6 inches.

John Ray Leary of Culver City took a five-shot lead and set a record on the north course of Coto de Caza by shooting an eight-under-par 64 in the first round of the boys’ division of the American Junior Golf Assn. Rolex Tournament of Champions.

New Zealand’s Julia Kraschinski, who had seven consecutive birdies in a round of 67, set the women’s south course record in the girls’ division. Paula Marti of Spain, who shot a 68, is second. The second of three rounds is today.
