St. Lucy’s Advances to Final Match

This season, the Glendora St. Lucy’s girls’ soccer team won its first league title in 10 years and advanced past the Southern Section quarterfinals for the first time.
On Tuesday, the Regents put themselves in the Division III championship game with a 3-1 semifinal victory over Orange El Modena at El Modena.
St. Lucy’s will play West Hills Chaminade, a 1-0 winner Tuesday over South Pasadena, in the championship match Friday or Saturday at Gahr High.
The score was 1-1 when St. Lucy’s went ahead in the 28th minute. Janae Sims sent a short cross to Christine Bill, who settled the ball, then fired it into the top right corner.
