BOYS’ DIVISION

* WHO: Reseda (15-2-3) vs. Bell (14-4-1)

* WHEN: Today, 6 p.m.

* WHO TO WATCH: Eighth-seeded Reseda’s unsung hero is sophomore sweeper Edwin Miranda, who anchors an improved defense and has six goals. The scoring load is carried by junior forward Oscar Sims, who has 19 goals, and sophomore forward Rocky Monzon, who has 18 goals. Sophomore Jesse Servin has 11 goals and moves between midfield and forward. Junior midfielder Carlos Morales has eight goals and is the Regents’ prime playmaker. Tenth-seeded Bell has physically imposing senior forward Benjamin Covarrubias, who has four goals in the playoffs, and senior midfielder Juan Aceves, who has seven goals. Sophomore goalkeeper Ishmael Madrigal has eight shutouts.

* FAST FACT: Belmont, coached by Nancy Carr-Swaim, won the City title last season. This season, the section’s other woman coach of a boys’ team, Bell’s Norma Escobedo, has guided the Eagles to the final.

GIRLS’ 4-A DIVISION

* WHO: Chatsworth (23-1-1) vs. San Pedro (10-7-6)

* WHEN: Today, 4 p.m.

* WHO TO WATCH: Chatsworth junior forward Jackie Fodor has 20 goals this season, boosting her career total to 66. She scored three goals in the title game last year. Freshman Leila Pate has 19 goals and 14 assists and senior midfielder Beezy Preis has 14 goals and 14 assists. San Pedro forwards Megan O’Donnell and Katherine Bjezvich each have 10 goals.

* FAST FACTS: Chatsworth, in pursuit of its third consecutive 4-A Division title and its eighth section title in 10 years, is 179-17-4 in its history. . . . The Chancellors’ only blemishes this season are a holiday tournament loss to Camarillo and a tie against Southern Section Division III finalist Chaminade.
