OCC’s Jackson Plans to Play Basketball for Fresno State
Orange Coast’s Shaun Jackson has signed to play basketball at Fresno State next season, Pirate Coach Tim O’Brien said Tuesday.
In only one season, Jackson became the second-leading scorer in OCC history with 701 points, behind John Vallely (1967-68).
Jackson, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward from Mater Dei, initially attended Wyoming, appearing in one game. He then attended UC Irvine before enrolling at Orange Coast last fall.

Golden West’s Lisa Saenez and Peter Janov have signed to play water polo at USC, Rustler Coach John Wright said.
Saenez, an All-American from Marina High, was named South Coast Conference MVP.
Janov, from Bratislava, Slovakia, also was named All-American and South Coast MVP.

Kate Toman, a three-time All-Sea View League forward, has signed to play at Trinity College in Connecticut, said Richard Schaaf, Eagles girls’ basketball coach.

Jeff Colton, a swimmer, baseball player and water polo player at Garden Grove High, has signed a letter of intent to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, his father, Keith, said.
