Dos Pueblos 13, Rio Mesa 12--Pancho Tinoco scored on a one-yard touchdown run with 2:50 to play to pull Rio Mesa to within one point, but his pass on a two-point conversion attempt fell incomplete, allowing Dos Pueblos to hang on at San Marcos High.
Jason Sutherland rushed for 141 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown to give Dos Pueblos (3-6) a 13-6 lead midway through the third quarter.
Rio Mesa (2-7), which had only one first down and 16 total yards in the first half, tied the score, 6-6, on a one-yard run by Todd Saxey in the third quarter.
