In another Marmonte League game:

Newbury Park 54, Agoura 34--Nick Czernek passed for 239 yards and four touchdowns and Ryan Shipton rushed for 121 yards and three scores to pace the Panthers’ victory at Agoura.

Czernek threw scoring passes of 28, four, four and 22 yards. Shipton had scoring runs of one, 55 and five yards. Shipton’s 55-scoring run late in the first quarter gave Newbury Park (7-1, 5-0) the lead for good, 14-7.

Czernek had three touchdown passes in the first half, which ended with Newbury Park ahead, 34-21. Two of Czernek’s scoring passes went to Cause Hanna, each for four yards.

Garrett Lepisto of Agoura (3-6, 0-5) caught 10 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Alex LaFazia completed 20 of 30 for 308 yards and three touchdowns.

Lepisto broke the school single-season receptions record, raising his season total to 58. Shayne Sobel had 54 catches for Agoura in 1995.
