RIO HONDO LEAGUE
La Canada 10, South Pasadena 7--Chris Stone’s 18-yard field goal with 37 seconds to play gave the Spartans a come-from-behind victory at La Canada.
Nate Dane completed 15 of 24 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown for La Canada.
The Spartans (5-4, 3-1) scored all of their points in the fourth quarter to overcome a sluggish start.
With La Canada trailing, 7-0, Greg Swenson’s 29-yard touchdown reception tied it, 7-7, midway through the fourth quarter.
The Spartans drove 67 yards to the South Pasadena one on their final possession to set up Stone’s game-winning kick.
Jeff Hill had 92 yards rushing for South Pasadena (4-5, 0-4).
