Top Runners Grounded at Alemany, St. Francis

Alemany High and St. Francis could be without star running backs when the teams meet Friday night in a key Mission League football game.
Alemany (6-3, 2-0 in league play), which wins the league title if it beats St. Francis (5-4, 1-1), probably will be without running back De’Andre Scott, who suffered a sprained ankle last week against Crespi.
Scott, who has rushed for 959 yards and 13 touchdowns, would be replaced by Paul Fusano and Derek Goodman.
Running back Murice Law of St. Francis also is not expected to play.
Law, the Golden Knights’ leading rusher with 859 yards and seven touchdowns, suffered a shoulder injury last week against St. Paul.
“I would say he’s doubtful for this week and questionable beyond that,” Coach Bill Redell of St. Francis said.
Law will be replaced by Jimmy Knauf and Matt Milton.
