Van Nuys 32, Hollywood 6--Alex Aguilar rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns in 15 carries for the third-seeded Wolves in the first round of the City Division playoffs at Van Nuys.
Van Nuys (8-3) had a 13-6 halftime lead and broke the game open with two touchdown drives in the third quarter. Each drive took less than a minute thanks to punts of 10 and 22 yards by Hollywood.
The Wolves drove 37 yards in three plays and scored on a two-yard run by Aguilar, and quarterback Bobby Hernandez added a two point conversion run for 21-6 lead with 8:57 left in the quarter.
Late in the quarter, Van Nuys drove 53 yards in two plays and scored on a three-yard pass from Hernandez to Jermaine Lucious.
Arroyo kicked field goals of 40, 27, 47 yards and has 12 this season.
Van Nuys will play Eagle Rock, a 36-13 winner over Bell, in the quarterfinals Wednesday.
