In other first-round Championship Division games:

Granada Hills 56, Jefferson 14--Jason Winn completed 12 of 20 passes for 278 yards and tied a school record with six touchdown passes, including first-half strikes of 61 and 34 yards to Peter Gunny, as the top-seeded Highlanders (11-0) rolled up 473 yards at Granada Hills.

Venice 42, El Camino Real 14--The second-seeded Gondoliers scored 28 fourth-quarter points en route to the victory at Venice.

Venice quarterback J.P. Losman completed 17 of 26 passes for 248 yards. He had two passes intercepted in the first half, but passed for two touchdowns in the second half, including a 50-yard play to Paul Thomas that gave Venice a 28-14 lead with less than six minutes to play.

Dorsey 39, Kennedy 6--Senior Nevin McGee gained 138 yards in 13 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead the third-seeded Dons at Dorsey.

Banning 56, Roosevelt 0--Junior running back Chris Howard gained 167 yards in 15 carries and scored five on runs of 72, 11, 13, seven and five yards for the fifth-seeded Pilots.

Franklin 13, Carson 12--Daniel Villegas scored on a six-yard run with 10:11 left to give the sixth-seeded Panthers the victory over the 11-seeded Colts at Franklin.

Taft 43, Crenshaw 8--Quarterback Brandon Hance passed for two touchdowns and backup tailback Damion Ramsey rushed for two touchdowns as the Toreadors (9-2) began their bid for a third consecutive trip to the City final with the victory at Taft.

Westchester 53, Locke 28--Ninth-seeded Westchester trailed, 22-20, when Sam Cunningham took the second-half kickoff and returned it 99 yards for a touchdown. When the quarter was over, the Comets had a 39-22 lead.

Anthony Porter and Dunne Bowden combined for 217 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries for Westchester.
