PREP FOOTBALL GAMES AT A GLANCE
Brea Olinda (10-1) vs. Fullerton (6-5)
7 TONIGHT FULLERTON HIGH
Second-seeded Brea Olinda, which has won six in a row after losing to El Dorado, is the heavy favorite. “Everybody’s picked Brea into the finals along with La Mirada,” Fullerton Coach Julian Smilowitz said. “I guess they don’t give anybody else a chance.” Smilowitz is impressed with Brea. “They don’t make many mental mistakes and they make even fewer physical mistakes.” Brea will probably be watching Fullerton quarterback Johnathan Pate closely. In last week’s victory over La Quinta, he scored on a kickoff return, punt return, interception return and passed for two touchdowns.
