A partially-torn knee ligament suffered in Saturday’s season-opening victory over Louisiana Tech will likely keep Nebraska quarterback Bobby Newcombe out of this week’s game against Alabama-Birmingham.
Coach Frank Solich said no decision on Newcombe’s status will me made until late in the week. Freshman Eric Crouch would probably replace him.
