Dallas Enoch’s 16-yard touchdown pass to Matt Bernstein with 3:12 to play gave Calabasas High a 14-13 victory over Agoura in a nonleague opener Friday night at Calabasas.
Trailing, 13-8, with fourth and 15 at the Agoura 16-yard line, Enoch scrambled and found Bernstein, who made a diving catch in the end zone, capping a 13-play, 68-yard drive. A two-point conversion attempt failed.
On Agoura’s final series, Alex LaFazia’s fourth-down pass to Scott Sims fell incomplete at the Calabasas 45 with 1:10 to play.
After a scoreless first half, Agoura took a 7-0 lead on an 11-yard run by tailback Ryan Anzoutas midway through the third quarter. The touchdown was set up by Garrett Lepisto’s interception of Enoch’s pass that he returned 21 yards to the Calabasas 29.
Enoch scored on a one-yard sneak and passed for a two-point conversion to Evan Rosenbloom to give Calabasas an 8-7 lead early in the fourth quarter.
On the ensuing kickoff, Lepisto ran 90 yards for a touchdown to give Agoura a 13-8 lead.
