Most of the top-flight players in the county will continue to play with the boys’ teams in the spring, including Mission Viejo senior Carla Legaspi and Fountain Valley senior Candie Kung, who won the Southern California Golf Assn. girls’ championship last season. . . . Sunny Hills senior Lynne Chiao and Brea Olinda senior Jeri Costello, who both qualified for the SCGA finals last season, will play in the spring because neither school has a girls’ team . . . Players who compete in the spring will still be eligible to qualify as individuals for the section and SCGA championships.
