Don’t expect Newport Harbor to score 70 points as it did in last week’s 64-point victory over Orange. Marina may not be among the Sunset League’s more powerful teams, but it did upset Los Alamitos last season and has six returning starters on offense and six on defense. Marina’s Ray Mietkiewicz rushed for 193 yards in a 13-0 victory over Corona del Mar, but Newport Harbor should provide stiffer opposition. Though Robert Peredia ran wild against Orange--10 carries for 231 yards and four touchdowns--the Sailors likely must pass more to get past Marina and its young secondary.
