Concordia Rallies to Win in Volleyball

Concordia rallied from a two-game deficit to defeat Claremont Mudd Scripps, 14-16, 14-16, 15-9, 15-13, 15-12, in nonconference women’s volleyball Thursday at Concordia.
Sarah Roberts had 19 kills and 14 digs to lead the Eagles (11-6). Jaime Gast and Jenna Branham each added 18 kills and 25 digs.
In Big West Conference women’s volleyball:
Long Beach State 3, Utah State 0--Five 49ers tallied double-doubles, including former Newport Harbor High standout Misty May, who had 48 assists and 15 digs in the 15-4, 17-15, 15-9 victory. Long Beach State improved to 11-0, 1-0.
