HONOLULU — Three-quarters of St. Louis High School’s nationally ranked football team have been placed on probation for allegedly drinking beer during a trip to Las Vegas, hiring exotic dancers and then trashing their hotel rooms.
The school’s president, the Rev. Mario Pariante, said Thursday that 60 of the team’s 88 players were put on probation. Although the players remain with the team, another serious offense could lead to expulsion.
The alleged partying occurred during a preseason victory celebration following a 55-6 victory over Green Valley High on Sept. 5 at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium.
