In another Championship first-round game:

Washington 67, Chatsworth 46--Chatsworth (15-7) was outclassed in a lopsided loss at Washington.

CITY DIVISION

North Hollywood 50, Monroe 44--Jason McKissick scored five of his 16 points and grabbed six of his 13 rebounds in the final four minutes to help the host Huskies (13-12) hold off Monroe (13-13).

Rahnell Johnson scored five of his seven points in the fourth quarter and Erubei Alvarado scored 14 points for North Hollywood.

Eric Serna scored 17 for Monroe, which lost a Valley Pac-8 Conference game to the Huskies early in the season.

San Fernando 68, Locke 54--Mike Hernandez made four three-point baskets en route to 23 points for San Fernando (10-16) at Locke.

Jason Tubbs added 13 points, Steve Nevarez grabbed 16 rebounds and Roger Martinez had 10 assists for San Fernando, which led by as many as 14 points.

Kennedy 53, Wilson 44--Nana Gbewonyo had 24 points, 16 rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots for host Kennedy.

Gbewonyo, who had eight offensive rebounds in the game, had 14 points in the first half to help the Golden Cougars (15-9) take a 26-20 halftime lead.

Wilson cut its deficit to 34-32 at the end of the third quarter, but Kennedy pulled away in the fourth.

“We focused a little bit better,” Kennedy Coach Kim Guy said of his team’s play in the fourth quarter. “We played lackluster for a while, then we got it together. In the fourth quarter, particularly, we got it together and made a big push.”

Poly 58, L.A. Marshall 52--James Word had 19 points and 12 rebounds for Poly (14-11) at Marshall.

Steve Smith had 12 points, 10 rebounds and four blcoked shots for Poly, which made 15 of 22 free throws.

Eladio Aleman scored 22 points for Marshall.

Hollywood 66, Taft 53--Raja Boykins scored all of his 10 points in the first quarter to help Taft take a 25-16 lead, but Hollywood rallied at home.

Taft finished 11-10.
