Calvary Chapel junior Adam Benetiz won the 135-pound title with a 9-1 decision over Redlands East Valley junior Wes Lipskey. But Eagles junior Andy Tufnell was pinned by El Monte Arroyo senior Daniel Hernandez at 4:59.

Calvary Chapel senior Mike Porter had Ryan Kane, the undefeated Temecula Valley senior and defending state champion, tied 5-5 going into the third period of their 160-pound match. “To have four finalists, three champions and one runner-up--this was a great night for Brethren Christian,” Brethren Coach Mark Cody said. “We feel great going into next week’s Masters tournament.”
