Laguna Beach Hires Schubert, Berryhill

Laguna Beach named Mike Schubert as its baseball coach and former major league catcher Damon Berryhill as an assistant, Laguna Beach Athletic Director Jonathan Todd said Wednesday.

Schubert has spent the last three seasons as a pitching coach at Division II Wisconsin Parkside.

Berryhill, a Laguna Beach graduate who also attended Orange Coast College, will be a hitting and catching coach. He was a first-round draft pick, fourth overall, by the Chicago Cubs in 1984.
