In a Foothill Conference game:
Mt. San Jacinto 49, Antelope Valley 42--David Minnich scored on a one-yard run in overtime to win for the Eagles at Antelope Valley.
Travis Alkire fumbled on Antelope Valley’s first play in overtime after Minnich scored.
Mt. San Jacinto (7-1, 6-0) is ranked No. 11 in the state.
Antelope Valley (3-5, 2-4) trailed, 42-14, with 12:17 to play in regulation but scored four consecutive touchdowns to tie the score.
Antelope Valley began the rally with a 100-yard kickoff return by Andre Velazquez.
Velazquez and Tony Reed, who pulled off the feat against Canyons in 1973, are the only Marauders to return a kickoff 100 yards.
The Marauders scored on a school-record 50-yard fumble return by Bobby Antee that cut the deficit to 42-35 with 7:18 left.
Chad York scored Antelope Valley’s tying touchdown on a three-yard pass from Justin Holtfreter with 1:01 to go.
Minnich, the conference’s leading rusher, finished with 113 yards and three touchdowns in 18 carries.
Jason Anderson and York each rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown.
Alkire had 16 yards in six rushes.
