Jenni Perez hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning and Thousand Oaks High beat Simi Valley, 4-1, in a Marmonte League softball game on Thursday at the Thousand Oaks Community Center.
Nicole Angelo struck out five and finished with a three-hitter for Thousand Oaks.
Perez’s blast highlighted a four-run rally for the Lancers (10-2-1, 7-0 in league play).
Freshman Mandy Kilionski struck out nine in her varsity debut for Simi Valley (9-5, 4-3).
Agoura 1, Westlake 0--Amanda Olesonsingled and scored on a three-base throwing error in the 11th inning of a Marmonte League game at Westlake.
Lindsey Tsumpes (3-2) pitched a seven-hitter and struck out four for Agoura (8-8, 3-4).
Erin Voeltz pitched a six-hitter for Westlake (9-5, 5-2), striking out 11.
Newbury Park 2, Royal 0--Kamala Kiffe had four hits, including a run-scoring single to break a scoreless tie in the third, in a Marmonte League game at Rancho Simi Community Park in Simi Valley.
Katie Stokx (5-3) pitched a three-hitter with four strikeouts and hit a run-scoring single in the third for the Panthers (10-3, 4-3).
Canyon 6, Burbank 4--Lauren Tripp had two hits and three RBIs for the Cowboys (11-7, 1-2) in a Foothill League game at Canyon.
Tiffany Rhoads hit a two-run triple for Burbank (11-4, 1-2).
Kennedy 19, Van Nuys 3--Briana Mathiesen had three hits, including a run-scoring triple, and two RBIs for the Golden Cougars in a Valley Mission League victory at Brand Park.
Kristin Cookson had two hits and four RBIs for Kennedy (13-3, 4-0).
San Fernando 2, Sylmar 1--Ariel Galaviz’s run-scoring single with one out in the ninth gave the Tigers a Valley Mission League victory at San Fernando.
San Fernando (15-3, 3-1) tied the game with a run in the sixth.
Poly 8, Grant 1--Sonia Torres (5-6) pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and two walks for the Parrots in a Sunset Six League game at Poly.
Adriana Hernandez had two hits including a double for the Parrots (6-9, 3-1).
Monroe 2, Reseda 1--Diana Gameros doubled and scored on Melody Perez’s single in the seventh to lift the Vikings (4-7, 2-2) to a Valley Mission League victory at Reseda.
Oak Park 10, Bishop Diego 0--Dan Porter pitched a three-hitter and struck out 11 for the Eagles (7-5, 3-0) in a Tri-Valley League game at Bishop Diego (2-7, 0-7).
Cornerstone Christian 4, Santa Paula 2--Tiffany Monzo’s second of three singles led off a four-run inning that gave the Eagles (10-3) a nonleague victory at Mission Oaks Park in Camarillo.
