It wouldn’t be fair to say that Westlake Coach Darwin Tolzin had a hand in Agoura’s 1-0 upset over the Warriors in a Marmonte League game Thursday.

But . . .

Agoura freshman ace Lyndsay Tsumpes is one of Tolzin’s pitching students.

“She did a great job against us,” Tolzin said. “She kept the ball down and we weren’t patient.”

Tsumpes (3-2) allowed seven hits and struck out four.

Chatsworth has lost to Chancellor Coach Andrea Rochetti’s alma mater, El Camino Real, and Coach Neils Ludlow more times than she cares to remember in five seasons.

After watching the Conquistadores’ 10-0, five-inning victory over Chatsworth on Monday, Ludlow had the usual response.

“He always gives me a little smile and [says], ‘Good try,’ ” said Rochetti, who played for Ludlow in 1987.
