Harvard-Westlake Steals Victory, 2-1

Kim Koral stole second and third bases before scoring on a throwing error in the fifth inning to give Harvard-Westlake a 2-1 victory over Notre Dame in a Mission League game Friday at Valley College.
Both runs scored by Harvard-Westlake (12-2, 4-0), ranked No. 5 in the region by The Times, were unearned.
Kristie Barazza hit a run-scoring single in the second for Notre Dame (4-9, 2-3).
Chaminade 15, Flintridge Sacred-Heart 0--Christina Lupacchini pitched a one-hitter and had nine strikeouts in a Mission League game that was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Lupacchini (4-5) struck out five of the first six batters.
Tory Yamaguchi hit a two-run double in the third for Chaminade (5-6, 4-0), which scored 12 runs in the first inning.
San Marcos 1, Ventura 0--Annalise DuSell reached base on an error, was sacrificed to second, took third on throwing error before scoring the winning run on a fielder’s choice in the eighth inning of a Channel League game at San Marcos (5-9, 3-3).
Alemany 12, Louisville 0--Sarita Contreras pitched a one-hitter and struck out three for the Indians in a Mission League game called after five innings because of the 10-run rule at Tarzana Park.
Santa Paula 11, Santa Clara 1--Lauren Berumen pitched a five-hitter and had five strikeouts for the Cardinals (11-5, 5-3) in a Frontier League game at Santa Paula that ended after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
