Week at a glance: Stein ran 5:13.0 in the 1,600 and 11:10.9 in the 3,200 in the San Fernando Valley Invitational. The times fell short of her career bests of 5:12.48 and 10:58.55, but they gave her two victories over Valerie Flores of San Pedro, the defending City champion who is coming back from a leg injury. “I don’t know why I’m running faster,” Stein said. “But I’m happy about it.”
