HIGH SCHOOL NOTEBOOK
Alemany, with five players 5 feet 5 or shorter, was seventh among eight teams in the Buena tournament without a true post player.
The Indians (2-3), in their first season under Coach Brandie Murrish after 16 years under Melissa Hearlihy, are without two starters from last season’s team.
Senior forwards Nyasha Bralock and Karina Siam transferred to Harvard-Westlake during the summer after Hearlihy became coach there in May, and another player, guard Kelly Beckler, transferred to Granada Hills.
Alemany is relying on 5-3 senior point guard Anjanette Price and 5-8 junior swing player Tiffany Hawthorne.
