Simi Valley 3, Westlake 1--Whitney Fike scored on a penalty kick in the 43rd minute and on a 10-yard shot after a cross from Luke Ollett in the 46th minute for the Pioneers (5-2, 2-0) at Westlake.

Ollett scored in the 68th minute on an assist from Fike.

Brent Hoyer scored for the Warriors (4-4-2, 0-1) in the 15th minute.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Buena 3, Valencia 0--Natalie Sanderson scored twice in the second half for the Bulldogs (10-1-1) in the championship game of the Buena tournament.

Buena, ranked No. 1 in the region by The Times, led, 1-0, on Ashleigh Garmon’s goal in the 15th minute.

Valencia, ranked 10th, fell to 9-1.

Westlake 7, Simi Valley 1--Sara Silver-Hill had three goals and Lauren Baer scored twice for Westlake (5-0-3) in a Marmonte League game at Simi Valley.

GIRLS’ WATER POLO

Royal 20, Westlake 1--Jennifer Nantroup had five goals, two steals and two assists for Royal (11-2, 2-0) in a nonleague game at Rancho Simi Community Pool. Carrie Karamas and Hollis Reilly each scored four goals.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Arizona State 80, Cal State Northridge 44--No starter scored more than five points for the Matadors (4-6), who made only 17 of 47 shots in a nonconference game at Arizona State (7-3).
