Monarchs’ Kruse to Play at UNLV

Mater Dei linebacker/fullback Tyler Kruse has committed to Nevada Las Vegas, Monarch Coach Bruce Rollinson said Wednesday.

Kruse, who played three seasons at Fountain Valley before transferring to Mater Dei, was a Times first-team all-county selection last season.

Kruse accounted for 79 solo tackles, seven sacks and eight tackles for losses for the Monarchs, who shared the Southern Section Division I title with Long Beach Poly.
